Enjoy an evening outdoors on a “WALK + ROLL” with Mr. Doike and Friends of Waiʻalae!
Bring your sneakers, wheels, and a picnic dinner, then stay to watch the Waikīkī fireworks. We’ll walk or ride around Magic Island to encourage active lifestyles and celebrate community together.

Looking forward to getting together with you all at the 2025-26 school year kick-off walk! Here are the details:

• When: Friday 9/5 from 5:30pm through Waikiki fireworks show. Walk will start at approximately 6 p.m.

• Where: Magic Island / Ala Moana Beach Park. We'll have some canopy tents and tables in the grassy area, which you'll be able to see from the main parking lot. The approximately 2-2.5 mile walk will start from the L&L BBQ, Diamondhead Side, and end at our common tent space on Magic Island.

• What to Bring: Water, dinner for your 'ohana, picnic blanket/chairs, and enthusiasm! Bring your own picnic dinner.

• What to Bring for Fun: Whatever you and your keiki need for comfort and want to play with at the park/beach. Wheels are welcome!

• Why: To enjoy being active and get fresh air in a fun way where our keiki can participate and get to know other families in the Wai'alae community!

Note: All keiki participating must be accompanied by the adult that brought them (e.g. this is not a child drop-off event). Keiki and their adult(s) can choose to walk a shorter distance if the full loop is too long for them.
