5th Grade Fundraising
Graduation daytrip & end-of-year events
Each year, the 5th grade completes their time at Waiʻalae with a Secret Field Trip in May, and the Aloha Ceremony and Aloha Assembly. These events include transportation, venue fees, food, decorations, kīhei, leis, gifts.
Our fundraising goal is $6000.

Kona Ice

HOW TO PARTICIPATE: The Kona Ice truck will be on campus after school. Come and buy a Shave Ice!
Panda Express
DATE: April 9, 2026
DESCRIPTION: Grade 5 will receive 28% of the sale proceeds using our ONLINE fundraising code 9009971
HOW TO PARTICIPATE: Order food ONLINE at Panda Express and enter our fundraising code 9009971 at check out. Share the flyer with your friends, neighbors and family (including in other states). Fundraiser is good at any location in the U.S. as long as the order is placed ONLINE (cannot order in-person or by phone).
McDonalds

DESCRIPTION: McDonalds will donate a percentage of their sales to Grade 5 fundraising committee.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE: TBA
The Very Merry Event at Kahala Mall
ORDER DEADLINE: November 30
PICKUP: Tuesday, December 9, at SLVC
DATE: December 12–14, 2025
DESCRIPTION: $5 tickets for the annual Very Merry event at Kahala Mall. Ticket holders receive exclusive discounts at participating stores and are entered into a drawing for prizes (including a Kahala Hotel stay and a $100 mall gift card).
HOW TO PARTICIPATE: Buy a ticket for yourself, friends or family.
TYPE OF FUNDRAISER: Group; 100% of profits are shared across the 5th Grade Graduation Fund. Our goal is to sell 150 tickets.
Dave & Buster’s Power Cards
ORDER DEADLINE: December 5
PICKUP: Tuesday, December 9 at SLVC
DESCRIPTION: Dave & Buster’s Power Cards make great gifts. Cards come preloaded with either 57 or 108 chips and have no expiration date. Valid at all D&B locations nationwide.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE: Purchase physical Power Cards for holiday gift bags or stocking stuffers!
TYPE OF FUNDRAISER: This FUN-Raiser returns 50% of profits to our 5th Grade Graduation Fund. Our goal is to raise $700.
